Neutral, cream colored nails for spring isn’t such a shock—it’s a minimalist trend that’s been gaining momentum since last year but what surprised us was seeing the demure look at shows that normally don’t go in that direction: there were soft milky shades at Marc Jacobs, pure whites at Rag & Bone, and plenty of un-done French mani’s at Chanel. This season, toning down your nails is the new way to play it cool.

Neutral Nails - Pale is always in for a sophisticated, clean look. Plus, as an extra bonus your manicure lasts a little longer because pale colors are more subtle when the polish grows away from your nail bed (Shh.. sometimes if I don’t get to my nails in time, I’ll just file them down to buy some more time!). From pale pink to beige to milky white as seen on the runways, go au naturel!
Get creative with your Stitch Fix spring favorites! Daytime dresses, dots and stripes, chevron on denim can all be paired with your own pair of colorful flats or neutral sandals.
Timeless, and the definitive building block to a casual chic look, denim continues to visit us season after season. We love a chambray shirt loosely tucked into a pencil skirt or a pair of dark wash skinny jeans.
When it comes to necklines, sometimes you wonder where to begin! The goal is to balance your body type and play up and accentuate your best features. For women with a curvier, bustier figure, boatnecks, heart-shaped cuts and v-necks are very flattering. For straighter figures, a great way to add curves is to wear scoop necks, a halter neck or a deep V neck.
Boatneck
Boatnecks look best on a bustier figure. Wear them with a classic striped shirt or an on-trend striped dress.
Heartshaped
If you have a curvier body type, this style should fit perfectly at the neckline. Wear a simple T-shirt or a strapless dress to an occasion!
V-Neck
Best suited for straight figures, this shape elongates the neck and adds shape and curves. Pair under a structured blazer with skinny jeans.

Scoop Neck
Scoop necks bring emphasis down and are best paired with a feature necklace that mimic the scoop.
Halter Neck
Halter necks cut broad shoulders and add curves. Pair a silky halter top with business suits, pencil skirts or your favorite pair of jeans.
Cowl Neck
A cowl-neck naturally drapes at the chest which creates a vertical line that elongates the body and draws the eye down. A cowl neck is super flattering when paired under a blazer for work and can be dressed up or down!

A Guide to Petite Styling!
At Stitch Fix, we spend a lot of time thinking about different body shapes and how our inventory fits our clients. A subject that comes up a lot is how to dress a petite shape! Our stylist, Catherine is not only petite but knows how to dress her body well. Here are some of her tried and true tips to best dress this shape!
What to wear on top?
-Blouses that hit right at the hips. Anything longer will drown you!
-V-necks and Scoop-neck tops help elongate your upper body
-Fitted tops and blazers are your best friends
-Aim for single-breasted buttons to lengthen your torso
What to wear on bottom?
-Pin-stripes pants and skirts give the illusion of longer legs
-A 30inch inseam is perfect for petite gals 5’4 and under
-A-line and pencil skirts that hit just above the knee for business attire
-For jeans, go for a fitted low-rise in either skinny, boot-cut or straight
What to wear for dresses?
Dresses:
-Again, V-necks and scoop neck lines for dresses will be most flattering
-Empire waists, sheaths, or shirt dresses that gather at the waist are perfect for a petite frame
-Dresses that end right above the knee, show some legs for length!
